Kat is an independent consultant and board director, passionate about fighting climate change and ethical investment. Kat joined the Applerigg Board in June 2022 and is Chair of the Investment Committee.  She is also on the boards of six COIF Charity Funds and is a Special Investment Committee Member for the NEST pension scheme.

Kat has had a long values-driven career including 10 years at renewable energy company, Solarcentury, before joining Octopus Investments where she invested and managed c£3Bn in renewable energy assets and designed and embedded an ethical and positive impact framework for the £10bn of funds managed by Octopus Investments. Over the years she has held board positions on several energy investment funds, including two Venture Capital Trusts, as well as a start-up and two charities.

Kat has completed the Financial Times Non-Executive Director diploma, the INSEAD Women Leadership Programme, was awarded an MBA with distinction from the London Business School and has a degree in Mathematical Statistics and Operational Research from Exeter University.
