Christopher Scott is a former director of his family’s Provincial Group businesses and of Sand Aire Limited, and is a non-executive director of Applerigg.

He worked at Grindlays Bank from 1978 to 1988, mainly in the international corporate and sovereign financing departments. In 1988 he joined Sumitomo Bank (later The Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) in London, finishing there as General Manager of the London Structured Finance Department in 2006.

He read Natural Sciences at Trinity College, Cambridge, and has an MBA from INSEAD.
