David Gudgin, Applerigg’s Chief Executive Officer, has over two decades of experience in investing in high growth, early stage businesses.

After working at the BBC, David became an investor in 1999 when he joined 3i in London. He went on to become lead investor at Foursome, managing an environmental technology fund and a development capital fund. In 2005 David joined Albion Capital where, in 2009, he became Partner, as well as Head of Renewables. At Albion, David raised and invested three institutional Real Asset funds; Albion Care Communities, Albion Community Power and Albion Real Asset Fund.

David joined Applerigg in 2023 and is focused on building new asset-based businesses. David is on the board of Xenia Venues and Glenburnie Lodge.

David has a degree in Economics from Warwick University, and post-graduation he qualified as an ACMA.
